This piece is based on an open-collar school uniform shirt from Suteteko Co., Ltd., an apparel trading company in Fukui Prefecture. In my daily life, I often see elementary school students at Keio Yochisha wearing something very similar. It has the perfect weight, and the blend of materials is excellent for its intended use. It also features antimicrobial, odor-resistant, and wrinkle-resistant properties, which are nice bonuses. Being a uniform, the collar is cut rather shallow, so I like that it doesn't look too sloppy even with one button undone.
Originally chemical white (a bluish-white), the shirt has been garment-dyed to create an impression far removed from the original clean and intelligent intent. By using a dye that does not affect polyester at a slightly higher temperature, we have brought out subtle irregularities and slight color variations in the stitching and fabric texture. We also chose a color you don't see very often. It has become a garment full of expression that clearly contrasts with the original product.
While there is no significant color fading, you can enjoy the changes that are unique to garment dyeing. Please note that there may be slight individual differences.
Although no color transfer occurred during the post-dyeing wash, we recommend washing this item separately from white or light-colored garments.
The color may differ slightly depending on the shooting environment, but the worn photos are closer to how it appears to the naked eye.
