We use a base open-collar school uniform shirt from Steteco Co., Ltd., an apparel trading company based in Fukui Prefecture. In my daily life, I often see elementary school students at Keio Yochisha wearing something very similar. It has the perfect thickness, and the blend ratio is excellent for its intended use. The antibacterial and deodorizing treatment, as well as the wrinkle-resistant finish, are also great features. Since it is a uniform, the collar is cut relatively shallow, so I personally like that it doesn't look too sloppy even when one button is left undone.
Originally chemical white (a bluish white), we garment-dyed it to create an impression far removed from the cleanliness and intelligence associated with its original purpose. By using a dye that does not affect polyester at a slightly higher temperature, we brought out subtle unevenness and slight color variations in the stitching and the fabric's weave. We also chose a color you don't often see. The contrast with the original product is well-expressed, resulting in a piece with a rich, expressive character.
There is no significant fading, but you can enjoy the changes unique to garment dyeing. Please note that there may be slight individual differences.
Although no color transfer occurred during the product wash after dyeing, we recommend washing separately from whites and light-colored items.
The color may vary slightly depending on the shooting environment, but the worn images are closer to how it appears to the naked eye.
